Two offers with the same rate and term can cost different amounts. Find out how much you actually receive, how much you pay back and when the fee is charged.
An example with numbers
You borrow $10,000 with a 2% origination fee, that is $200. If you pay the fee upfront, you have $9,800 available after paying it, even though the starting debt is still $10,000. If the lender adds it to the loan, the calculation changes.
Try it with your numbers
Compare the same loan with and without the fee. Check how the calculator treats it before applying the result to the lender's offer.
