When a supplier raises prices, keeping the same money per sale and keeping the same margin percentage are different goals. Decide which one you want to keep before changing your prices.
An example with numbers
You sell something at $100 that costs $60. Your margin is 40%. If the cost rises to $66, selling at $106 keeps the original $40, but the margin falls to 37.7%. To keep 40%, the price would have to be $110.
Try it with your numbers
Enter the new cost and your target margin. Then compare the resulting price with what your customers would accept.
